My parents killed my dreams.

When I looked up at the stars growing up, I wished I would become famous.

I had my chance in 5th grade when John D’Aquino (President in Cory in the House), invited me to come to LA for an acting workshop.

My parents told me no.

What they didn’t tell me until years later was that he actually wanted me to audition for a role on Disney Channel that he thought I would be perfect for.

As devastating as this was at age 10, I can look back now and be grateful that not all dreams come true.

Fun facts from some of the dreams my parents didn’t kill, but eventually I did:

Luckily, all of these dead dreams (and more) help inform my current dream of being an art director.
